that's deep man, that's deep

aluminum breath

weak tired, desirous flesh
rasping
panting
aluminum breath
the feet are tires that try to
stop
insane burnt rubber stench
stop, stop, stop
shattered raining glass
impact screeches
metal skin that crumples
the drying of a leaf
the cold of uninhabited limbs
the tinny dripping of black blood that spills
but no longer courses
the suffering of metal so trivial
to strike
is the entire energy of the universe
stopped

i once had a rabbit

i once had a rabbit
browsing through the vegetation
without restriction
it
would disappear in green
digging through rich, deep soil
i would chase after
with pale hands
cut by dark earth
my face sliced
by heavy tears
beyond my reach
fleeing from protection
i knew what inevitable, weightful
thing must happen
only emptiness down that tunnel
vacuum gnawing at my eyes
it was irresistible that I leave
and let the creatures belowv
have my rabbbit
