The goal of the zoo is to preserve the chicken species from extinction and show the public the threats posed towards the modern chicken. In your visit, you will learn how to care for and handle these interesting birds. There will be demonstrations of how humans have bred them for centuries and a guided walkthrough of the zoo’s many exhibits. We will also listen to a specialist at the North American chicken area. We will stop for lunch at 12:30. Then everyone will learn how to make their very own scrambled eggs! Finally, we will be taught to clean up after chickens. They can be messy at times! We will clean our hands and then have some time to revisit our favorite exhibits. You may also go to the Chicken Appreciation Center. Everyone must be at the buses by 4:00.
