Dear Common Sense,

We are responsible for some of the material you have objected against and understand how you might have been offended. From our posters, you have come to the conclusion that we promote ignorance, intolerance, and indifference towards human suffering. You’re absolutely right! We are wretched, pitiful excuses for human beings. We are so full of suffering and despair that our only outlet is to create posters to further the pain and suffering of others. What else could our motive be? So simple, and yet you were the first to detect our sinister nature. Though our evil influence has been revealed sooner than we had hoped, we must congratulate you for your cleverness. It is of no consequence. We are so full of selfishness and self-pity that we cannot but spill the bloated, rotten vessels of our souls upon the innocent populace. We put up our posters with the express purpose of embedding sharp black splinters in even the most righteous of souls. We created an organ donation drive to aid the Tibetan people in rebellion. How delightful, in a way, that we probably deserve to die for such insensitivity. We brought to question the superiority of humans over microorganisms. What better way to undermine their faith and seduce them away from goodness and light? We would apologize for our black deeds, but we are devoted servants of our Lord, CTHULU, MASTER OF HATEFUL DESTRUCTION AND ETERNAL NIGHT. Sincerely yours,
